I first received this info through text and a number of people confirm this to be true. It seems that a friend of mine, a former classmate near my age died last December 8. Everyone knew he had a heart condition but I don’t believe anyone actually expected him to die. I mean c’mon, the guy’s a chain-smoker who just uses his heart problem as an excuse to keep us from horsing around with him. This is just plain wrong, people our age don’t die just like that.

He was a funny guy, small, mousy, pimple-faced, mismatched teeth, and one of the horniest little idiots I’ve ever met. Yet, he was the religious type who liked to read the bible like some kinda pocketbook. In fact, he liked to read all sorts of books even our own text books but he treated them all as entertainment material so he never could do that well in school. For a guy who liked to read books, he never studied for one single day in college. He also liked to spout rap music even though he only knew about 10% of the lyrics most of the time and just adlibbed the rest. He spent all his tuition money on his friends and cheap local pron mags, then went hungry for several weeks coz he ran out of cash.

All these shards of memories of this one small existence, whether they be his flaws, or his most obvious weaknesses, these are the things that I know him for best. Yet, he was also one of the most kind-hearted persons I’ve ever met, a heart that could no longer support such a tiny frame.

And if his faults are the only things that I can remember him by, I will remember most importantly, that despite all these things, I just knew him to be my friend and that’s all that really matters…

And so, I pay my final respects to you… You horny loser!

Yanagi speaking: Here’s a literary effort of mine to match Cloud^’s Despair poem. This one was written exclusively for one of my favorite bishie group—Weiss. Now, now copyright infringers don’t try any funny business with me coz unlike "other little people" I’m a freakin lawyer. Yeah that’s right I’m the genuine article buster and I don’t need shift F7 to prove it bwahahaha!!! (Normalcy is just another substitute for not having a life so go ahead—be unique, be yourself, getta life!)

For lack of nothing better to post, here are some tips for newbie anime journalists with or without the anime part.

1. Shift+F7 is not a literary technique. Sheesh! You don’t really think that using the MS Word thesaurus just so you can insert a high-sounding word every few sentences will make your work look better do you? The only time you should ever rely on the theseaurus is if you need to reuse a certain word without sounding redundant.

2. Gawd! Please stop being so high-faluten! Higher and more complex words all have appropriate connotations and they can make your work look better only if you know how to use them, but they can also highlight your amateur style if you don’t (especially if your work contains obvious grammatical errors).

3. Punctuation don’t mean nothin. Well… actually it does matter, but there’s no need to be anal-retentive. Good punctuation helps make your work more readable and that’s that. We’re not native-speaking westerners y’know.

4. Never be afraid to use simple words. In fact, using the simplest word possible often makes your work look more appealing and less awkward to the common reader.

5. Be Organized. Spontaneity is good but you must still use some level of organization if you’re going to keep your reader’s attention. So if you’re going to be chaotic about your work, make sure that its totally organized chaos. (like your generic kung-fu movie)

6. Get your own freakin style! Don’t be a copying machine and try to imitate someone else’s style of writing. A writer’s work should be the reflection of his soul so don’t be a soul stealer you vampire! Just write what you feel in the words that you feel most comfortable with (That’s YOUR style in case you didn’t know).
